This Prime power project located on the Kuril Islands in Russia consists of
seven sections of 6300 volt, 50 Hz, General Electric NEMA 1 switchgear.
Automation is provided by a GE Fanuc Series 90 PLC and a 15-inch QuickPanel operator touch screen. Automated functionality includes stand-alone prime power, utility co-generation with import/export controls, base load, engine demand control and load shed controls.
The switchgear nameplates and the operator touch screen utilize Cyrillic text for ease of use by the Russian operators.
